Echoes of Praga: Exhibition of student works in Warsaw
Echos of Praga is an international project aiming to unveil the potential of a neighbourhood located at Praga Północ, a famous historical Warsaw district currently undergoing revitalisation.
Students from the Brno University of Technology Faculty of Architecture (Czech Republic) and the School of Form in Warsaw (Poland) explored the area through lectures, workshops and site visits. They identified aspects that surprised and inspired them.
Proposed design solutions can potentially trigger the district´s transformation process, answering the site specific challenges identified during the study visit. This results in works that vary in scale and approach to the possible interventions, from process-oriented design to physical interventions in space. The scale of the proposed solutions altered from object design, new buildings, urban design, and landscape solutions to the organisation of traffic, redesign of street profiles, and even a project city game.
The exhibition, presenting the results of the research titled Spatial Models of Favorable and Affordable Locality, will be opened on February 23, 2024, at the Zodiak Pavilion of Architecture in Warsaw and will last until March 4, 2024.
