Cleaning, which Písaříková chose as the central motif of the exhibition, becomes for many people a vicious circle, an annoying part of everyday reality that does not start anywhere and does not end anywhere. But it can also be seen as a ritual. The concept of cleanliness, for example, is absolutely essential for Japanese culture, we can find it in Chinese philosophy as well as in Christianity - as the title of the exhibition suggests OMNIA MUNDA MUNDIS, I clean everything clean, which is rooted in the New Testament. Karin Písaříková, however, rather than religious interpretations, what matters is the repeated movements that accompany cleaning and which can have a meditative character regardless of a specific religion.
The works of Karin Písaříková are often characterized by a certain element of humor. However, the directness with which they communicate is redeemed by weeks and months of thinking about the given topic and the question of how to communicate the topic not only towards the public, but also to oneself. Thus, part of the creation process is the search for a key, a philosophical framework and an inner meaning, and a way to turn the theme into a game that would entertain the audience and the artist herself. The result in the case of the exhibition OMNIA MUNDA MUNDIS objects created by the author she used everyday items associated with cleaning, such as a dustpan and broom, a clothes rack, or discs from a car wash. By freeing themselves from banality, these subjects open the way to finding answers to the mentioned main question of cleaning.
