We are opening new subjects that will broaden students' horizons
The Architecture and Urbanism study program at the Faculty of Architecture is designed to provide students with knowledge, but at the same time offers them many choices. The basic package of subjects is divided into four parts: theory, designing, technical subjects and tools. Each semester, students choose current topics from the offer of studio assignments and from a large package of compulsory elective subjects, with which they can expand and specify their interest. The range of optional subjects is constantly expanding. This year there will be an opportunity to enroll in Feminist and Queer Context of Czech Art History with Ladislav Jackson, Intercultural Communication and Socially Engaged Art in Japan with Karin Písaříková, Alternative scenarios of locations with Polish experts Monika Konrad and Maciej Frąckowiak, Research and development of materials through CAM techniques with Viennese architects Efiléna Baseta and Marco Palma or the Cultural Heritage Research Laboratory with Dutch architects led by Servia Boetzkes and Gabriel Peni. Registrations take place on 25.1. from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. via STUDISU. The second round will take place on February 1. 2023 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Nowadays, one of the main challenges in shaping a city is to respond to the needs of the local community. The question is who is the local community and what spaces do they need to develop. The same phenomenon will happen in Brno and other European cities, and we should be prepared for it. A topic strongly linked to social and environmental aspects. The research that took place in the last three years during the development of the strategic master plan for the whole area of ??Warsaw can serve as a solid basis for further studies and proposals.
