Guided tour with Vojtěch Jemelka
We invite you to the final guided tour of the exhibition O na sednou with architect Vojtěch Jemelka. The meeting takes place on January 12, 2023 from 5 p.m. in the Molitor Library in Olomouc.Olomouc, a well-visited, picturesque, historic city where everyone would like to live. In short, a city without problems. But is that really the case? In their final theses, a dozen students of the Brno Faculty of Architecture BUT focused on finding and determining the treatment of seven sore spots, which follow an imaginary spiral of interrelationships from the historical core to the wider landscape. Relationships center-walled circle, center-suburb, city-river, young-old, city-suburban landscape, city-economic landscape Hané is strikingly related here, which the potential of the whole is multiplied (not just added). See specific solutions. A series of interventions in the city will present individual proposals and outline the possible future of the Hana metropolis.
Diploma and semester theses are focused on Olomouc and its problematic places, the solution of which adds to the city a powerful potential for future development, but also to find a relationship with oneself. One of the tasks of the academic sphere is also opening up these unpleasant topics, which, however, can often be answered simply once opened. Another task of schools is to connect the seemingly disparate; here too, the students show how the city is dependent on the quality relations of its inhabitants, the historical core and the suburbs, but also on a healthy suburban and economic landscape. This dynamic spiral of relationships offers fresh views of the parking lot in Třídy Svobody Proluka, the Market Square, the area between the dormitory area and the Morava embankment, and then
foreground of the bridge to Kojeňák, and finally two themes confirming the relationship of the city to Hané's native landscape; the western periphery and the Skrbno cadastre field with the abandoned old and new estate.
